Volleying with the Antichrist

Which of these men today admitted that the Supreme Court does indeed have the power of judicial review, and which is locked in Oprah Winfrey’s bedroom closet with a ball-gag in his mouth?

Hey, Mr. President…

They really need to stop pestering the first lady with this “respect for flag and country” nonsense.

When I saw this pic yesterday, I thought to myself what I remember thinking in 2000: “They don’t put dumbasses in fighter jets.” They don’t put them in any military or commercial aircraft. Does this mean you can run a country? Nope, but it’s not a bad indicator.

Interesting take here, including some comments from a liberal Obama supporter, about the President’s reputation for brilliance.

All military officers, by the way, take an IQ test after commissioning (or used to). So I’d like to see Perry, Bush 1 and 2, Kerry, and Carter reveal theirs. And Obama. Let’s not forget him.

Please help me recover from the devastation of today’s earthquake. Donations in any amount are appreciated.

“Special” Ed Schultz is at it again. Now, if Perry had said that “these are dark days in the White House, blacker than we’ve seen in a coon’s age, and we must not be niggardly in our efforts to end them,” I could buy it. But this is a load of shit.

Excellent idea, asshole.

Now that my afterglow for that daring raid is waning, I’d like to point out a few things for Obama supporters, especially anti-death penalty ones:

1. This was a targeted assassination, without due process of law. Ergo, not only does Obama support the death penalty, he did so in this case without offering UBL the constitutional protection he seems to value so much in the cases of other terrorists and illegal aliens. Moreover, he supports de facto summary execution for innocent noncombatants.

2. Here’s how:

Rules of engagement for such operations are established in advance and, to hear him tell it, this was Obama’s show. The female human shield in the raid accounts was, as far as we know, unarmed. So unless the incursion team broke a rule of engagement (and there is no evidence or even hearsay that it did), it was complying with presidential directive when it killed her.

3. This raid was an unauthorized incursion across a sovereign border, with the purpose of assassinating a foreign national in Pakistan at, it seems clear, their implicit invitation. Does the phrase “act of war” come to mind?

4. Finally, the raid was literally inconceivable without, by all accounts, intelligence gleaned from detainees at Guantanamo Bay and at secret foreign prisons run by the CIA, about both of which we are all aware of Obama’s position.

P. J., Cutting To It:

July 4, 2010

Weekly Standard columnist P.J. O’Rourke: “Barack Obama is more irritating than the other nuisances on the left. Nancy Pelosi needs a session on the ducking stool, of course. But everyone with an ugly divorce has had a Nancy. She’s vexatious and expensive to get rid of, but it’s not like we give a damn about her. Harry Reid is going house to house selling nothing anybody wants. Slam the door on him and the neighbor’s Rottweiler will do the rest. And Barney Frank is self-punishing. Imagine being trapped inside Barney Frank. The secret to the Obama annoyance is snotty lecturing.”

Obama The Statesman…

February 26, 2010

In the spirit of his unnecessary (and erroneous) stab at the Supreme Court recently, the Asshole-In-Chief  snarks out this non sequitur at 0:55:

McCain was making some thoughtful points regarding issues important to the matter at hand, and THIS is the response from the President of the United States? It was rude and unstatesmanlike, and it unilaterally dismissed a valid thread from one of this country’s longest serving legislators.

One gets the feeling that Obama has been waiting for a venue like this where he might be publicly seen to throw this obviously premeditated insult at McCain. And like a little kid who has learned a new cuss word, he thought it so clever that he just couldn’t hold it in any longer— it made no contextual sense. It exposes Obama for the increasingly overbearing, out of his league, and desperate-to-show-ANY-results naked emperor that he is, all the more so because of McCain’s good natured, tactful reply.

Okay, this makes a lot of sense: Cindy Sheehan is protesting at Dick Cheney’s house against the use of drones in Afghanistan. I’ve met moms who have lost sons in combat; I feel for her loss. But she evidently feels that her hatred for Cheney trumps the fact that Commander-In-Chief Obama can stop the use of these drones anytime he wishes. He can bring all the troops home anytime he wishes. He could even have recently declined to send more troops over there (and remember, he ran on a plank of bringing them home) if he so wished.

Ms. Sheehan also seems to have forgotten that Afghanistan is a war that Obama, whom she presumably supports, has adopted as his own. The banner in the background is, of course, ludicrous. We are not at war with the people of Afghanistan; we are at war with Al Qaeda there. Sheehan’s position seems to be this: instead of, when possible, using our technology to kill the bad guys, we should put at risk the lives of the sons of other mothers like her so that, what, they can endure the same grief she does?

This sad and clueless woman has had her grief hijacked by the radical left and has, from the get-go, been used as a pawn by the antiwar crowd. It’s time for her to go home.

…what the media would be saying if this incompetence had occurred under Bush:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/12/29/obama-systemic-failure-allowed-terror-suspect-board-flight/

As expected (again, mirroring what Napolitano oinked out), it’s Bush’s fault:

“It’s becoming clear that the system that’s been in place for years now is not sufficiently up to date to take full advantage of the information we collect and the knowledge we have,” Obama said.

He has yet to use the words “terror” or “terrorist” in speaking of this incident.
